Overview

The United Nations Students Associations of Japan(UNSAJ) is a student association composed only of the colleage,or university students. This association was established in 1947 as the student part of The United Nations Association of Japan, Inc..

This group is irrelevant to any political organization and the religious body.

The United Nations society was established in 1947. Mainly it aimed to make the meaning of joining to the United Nations for Japanese people widely.. After Japan has applyed for UN membership, it was qualifyed by the UN head quarters as a formal international organization that supports the UN activities in Japan.

Our Policy

�@　Secure inside and outside the country the place of the discussion and the research
on the international situation between students widely.

�BAim at not only grow up of the individual but also, the contribution in the future to the international politics now.

Domestic Activities

We hold seminar which enable students to discuss the international problems three times a year.
Moreover, cooperation with the student associations besides Japan is promoting, and we exchange each activity reports mutually.

International Activities

UNSAJ acts as the Japanese representation of International youth and Student Movement of the United Nations(ISMUN).

Moreover, the standpoint named consultation NGO of Economic and Social Council of the United Nation (United Nations Economic and Socail Council:ECOSOC) is used, and we participates in a series of international conference.

･International youth and Student Movement of the United Nations: ISMUN
As for UNSAJ, it is possible to participate in an international conference through ISMUN. It is because ISMUN is registered in United Nations Economic and Social Council NGO "Category 1". It attends an international conference by using the qualification by the one that becomes a qualification to participate in an international conference over several degrees , saying that "Category 1". (Fiscal year 2007, it attends an international conference. )  It participated in the conference held in Switzerland for about one week by recruiting the applicant in UNSAJ, and using the vacation.

･United Nations Economic and Social Council(ECOSOC)
ECOSOC is one of the chief organs of the United Nations, and it resolves necessary and it recommends it for the financial problem and social issues (population and women's rights, etc.).

Organizational Structure

Each room bears the business on UNSAJ severally with three posts of the director, the sub-director, and the business generalization at the top. It consists of the administration room, the financial affairs room, the seminar laboratory, Office of Public Relations, and the overseas business room now.
